The mission of Deerhaven Press . . .

is to provide resources for clergy and laypersons to use in worship preparation and for personal spiritual renewal.

Our periodical, The Journal of Worship Resources, follows the Revised Common Lectionary and includes liturgical resources designed to assist worship leaders in their weekly preparation of congregational worship. Writers include some of the best preachers and professors from an ecumenical group of men and women.

For twenty-one years we also published Biblical Preaching Journal, a quarterly collection of sermons based on the Revised Common Lectionary. We were honored to provide this resourse to preachers and are proud of the examples of good biblical preaching found in it. The Summer 2009 issue (Vol. 22 No. 3) was the last issue published, but printed back issues will continue to be available for purchase as long as we have them in stock. Information about the cost of back issues of BPJ and how to order them is available here. At this time we have no plans to make back issues available electronically.

A Season of Preaching, a collection of representative sermons from the first thirteen years of Biblical Preaching Journal, also remains available.

In addition to The Journal of Worship Resources, Deerhaven Press also prints and/or publishes books and other materials for a variety of clients that include both secular organizations and faith communities. We welcome inquiries about our professional design services.

Subscription options

Subscribers to the print edition of The Journal of Worship Resources may access the e-journal (online version)—in addition to continuing to receive the printed copy—at no extra cost. Subscribers who elect to access just the e-journal will save the printing and mailing costs associated with the print edition. If you choose to subscribe to just the e-journal, you may still download and print all or part of the PDF of each issue.
